Questions this guide answers

  • Which birth fields are required?
  • What if the birth time is approximate?
  • What changes when I edit or delete a profile?

Before you begin

  • Sign in. Have the most reliable available birth date, local time, and place.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Choose quick or full entry

Use quick entry for the required facts or full entry when you want to review every supported field and context.

Expected result: The selected entry path shows either the essential birth fields or the complete form for review.

  2. 2

    Enter local birth facts

Enter date, local clock time, and place. Select the resolved location rather than typing a place name without confirming coordinates and timezone.

Expected result: The form shows the entered date and local time together with a resolved place and timezone context.

  3. 3

    Mark uncertainty honestly

Do not convert an approximate family memory into a precise time. Save the reported range or continue to Birth Time Rectification when the workflow offers it.

Expected result: The recorded details preserve the known uncertainty, or the rectification workflow opens with that context.

  4. 4

    Save and verify

Review the summary, save, and confirm the profile becomes active before opening Birth Chart.

Expected result: A saved-state confirmation appears and the profile name is available as the active chart context.

  5. 5

    Edit or delete with context

Use Edit for corrections and honor the unsaved-change warning. Delete only after understanding the effect on saved chart workflows and client records.

Expected result: The chosen action reaches its confirmation state; cancelling leaves the existing profile unchanged.

Choose the intended saved synthetic profile and make it the active chart context. The selected name in the dashboard header confirms that chart-backed tools are ready.

Open Profiles and review the saved synthetic records before choosing one. Check the name, birth date, and place so the subject is unambiguous.

Select Ananya Sharma from the saved list. Vedastram then carries that profile into the dashboard as the active chart context.

Confirm the displayed profile name before opening charts, dashas, reports, matching, or personalized tools.

Why place and timezone matter

Vedastram converts local civil time to the astronomical instant using the resolved location and historical timezone. A city label alone is not enough when coordinates or historical offsets are ambiguous.

For older births and boundary cases, verify the exact locality and the time source.

Quick entry versus full entry

Both paths create the same kind of birth profile. Quick entry reduces cognitive load; full entry exposes optional context and a more explicit review.

You can add personalization later without changing the astronomical birth facts.

Privacy and sample data

Birth date, time, and place are sensitive personal data. Use synthetic profiles for demonstrations, screenshots, training, and support reproduction.

Before sharing or exporting, confirm the subject has consented and the output is intended for that recipient.

Troubleshooting and recovery

The place search returns several similar locations

Choose the entry matching the correct region and country. If none is reliable, confirm coordinates before using the resulting chart.

Edit says the profile is missing or forbidden

Return to Clients and open the profile from your own account. The ID may be invalid, deleted, or owned by another user.

Frequently asked questions

Should I round an uncertain birth time?

No. Preserve the uncertainty. Rounded times can create false confidence in the ascendant, divisional lagnas, and timing analysis.

Does personalization change planet positions?

No. It changes guidance context, not the astronomical calculation from birth date, time, and place.

Terms used in this guide
