- Sign in. A supported browser and installable environment are required for PWA installation.
Step by step

Search by job or term
Use the Tools search and categories for a goal such as marriage, timing, chart, clients, or reports.
Expected result: The library shows tools and playbooks that match the entered job or term, or a clear no-results state.

Check requirements
Tool cards show Best for, time to value, and Popular or New labels. If a chart-backed tool needs a complete profile, opening it redirects to Birth Details. Some generation flows preview a credit cost, while Marriage Matching and Prashna currently submit immediately, so check the current plan and credit balance before starting them.
Expected result: You know the tool's purpose, profile requirement, and whether its paid flow previews a cost or submits immediately.

Use a capability playbook
Follow the suggested sequence when a job spans multiple tools, such as Birth Chart, Dasha, and Ask.
Expected result: The playbook presents an ordered set of relevant tools and a supported starting point for the selected job.

Install when available
Use the install action on Dashboard home or a tool-specific install page, accept the browser prompt, and confirm the standalone shortcut. Use Continue in browser when installation is unavailable.
Expected result: The shortcut launches Vedastram in its installed display, or the same workflow remains usable in the browser.

Remove or update normally
Manage an installed shortcut through the operating system or browser. Vedastram data remains tied to the signed-in account, not the shortcut.
Expected result: The shortcut lifecycle changes without creating a separate Vedastram account or copy of the saved profile data.

The library is the capability source of truth
The Tools page groups supported capabilities and exposes search, categories, Best for guidance, time to value, and direct destinations. Use it when navigation labels do not match the term you know.

Install is an enhancement
A PWA shortcut can open a focused tool in standalone display, but it does not unlock extra plan access or store a separate copy of chart data.
Browser support varies. The continue-in-browser path should always remain usable.
Troubleshooting and recovery
The Install button does not appear
The browser may not support the prompt, the app may already be installed, or install criteria may not be met. Use the manual browser menu or continue in the web app.
An installed tool opens the wrong account or profile
Sign into the intended account and select the correct active profile. Installation does not freeze profile context.

Does each tool need a separate installation?
No. Tool-specific shortcuts are optional focused entry points into the same Vedastram web app and account.
